28 Biker Gang Members Arrested in Connection to Bike Week Shooting
28 members of a biker gang known as the 'Mongols' have been arrested by the Volusia Sheriff's Office in connection to a shooting at a New Smyrna Beach RaceTrac station on March 8th, 2025. The incident, which was caught on video, highlighted the presence armed gangs can play in one of Volusia County's largest annual gatherings. The incident stemmed from a dispute between the Mongols and another gang, known as the 'Warlocks', according to Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood. Four men in the altercation shot guns, Chitwood said, in broad daylight around innocent bystanders patronizing the gas station. "Three of those four people who shot were involved in a shooting last year in Titusville," Chitwood said. "They surrounded a group of Warlocks on US-1 and opened fire on them." One of the shooters, Clinton Walker, was arrested shortly after shooting. A string of new arrests have now been added on. On top of the over two dozen arrests was the execution of 14 search warrants, at locations such as a Mongols club house in Edgewater, four residences in Volusia County, three in Brevard County, two in Polk County, two in Miami-Dade County, one in Palm Beach County, and one in Chesterfield, Virginia. The list of involved agencies in the investigation is lengthy. In addition to the VSO, the investigation involved the FBI offices in Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami, Richmond, Newark, Columbia, and Charlotte, with further assistances coming from the State Attorney's Office for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Marshals, and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force. Also participating were the sheriff's offices of the following counties: Brevard, Broward, Collier, Escambia, Hillsborough, Miami-Dade, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, and Polk.
